Insight On a Personal Loss

Losing someone is never an easy task to deal with. There are so many emotions that can present themselves in your time of grief. Whether it was a friend, a family member, a signicant other, or even a pet, a loss is a loss and the pain is still the same. The loss isnt always in death, it can be a divorce, losing a boyfriend/girlfriend, or someone close to your heart moving away. You must know though, we have all been there at some point in our lives.

Even though the pain feels like it will present itself forever at first, it will eventually diminish as time passes. There is a saying I have been told over the years, "Only time will heal a broken heart." That has proven to be right every single time. It might not seem as though the pain will ever go away, but you need to perservere in order to achieve your happieness.

Yes, it is true, some losses are greater than others. No matter the loss though, whatever the scenario, they will always remain in your heart. To cope with the pain of a loss there are some things you can try and do to relieve the pain. If you have lost a loved one, maybe start a journal using them as the recipient of your entries.

You can even set up a memorial in their honor, which in most cases will bring peace to you knowing they are honored and loved. Or why not write a story or poem in their memory and try to get it published. Whatever the case may be, you can find a way to be happy, and keep their memory alive. We all have been through this, some more than others, but at one point we have all felt that unbearable pain. What we chose to do with that pain though, shows who we truly are.

Written in memory of:

Well written. Positive. Full of the sense that not only was she a loved one, but also a real friend.

You are so right Nicholas- everything you have written here has been borne out in my own life, and others I have known. We all seek remedies for our pain and suffering- if we can find one that works for us- with the least side-effects- that's the one we should use. Thanks for the article- enjoyed it- Always-El
